Modular System of Casino
Bartůněk, Petr ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is pointed to a modular development of hazard game system. There is one main module in this system, it services gamers database and user accounts. Every game in this system is module pair; first it is game server, it realizes the game, and second client application, it has user interface for this game. Every network communications are realized using my own multi platform network library TCP_Network, and using network protocol for every server.
Odds betting
Kuruc, Michal ; Čabla, Adam (advisor) ; Malá, Ivana (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with problematics of odds betting. The goal of this thesis is to inform the reader about betting shops, betting environment and basic hypothesis about how to became a successful person in betting. The other goal is to test selected betting strategies and figure out if it is possible to make long-term profit from odds betting. In the theoretical part I show the probable dysfunction of the roulette strategy called martingale. Then I test selected betting strategies on real football results. The thesis may also be used as some kind of simple manual about how to make betting analysis and getting the results from them. The results of this work show that there is probably no guaranteed way how to make profit from odds betting but I think that this thesis can be used to gain some advantages in the betting environment.
Roulette and its strategies
Zadražil, Tomáš ; Staněk, Jakub (advisor) ; Slavík, Antonín (referee)
Objective of this thesis is to describe history of gambling, in a context of roulette to explain basic and advanced parts of probability theory which allow to the reader to decide about function of several popular roulette systems. There was mainly used expected value of discrete random variable, homogenous discrete-time Markov chain and simulations made in programming language R. Concrete output of the thesis are in precisely calculated expected values of a profit with fixed spins and with chosen limitation and corresponding estimations provided by simulation. On the basis of that it's possible to decide which systems are functional and which are not. Main contribution of this text is in didactical approach which helps to describe popular problematics of roulette systems by using basic and advanced areas of probability theory.
Roulette and particular probabilities

Title: Roulette and particular probabilities Author: Simona Oberhauserová Department: Department of probability and mathematical statistics Supervisor: Doc.RNDr. Petr Lachout, CSc., Department of probability and mathe- matical statistics Abstract: The thesis formulates roulette as a mathematical problem and examines the best roulette strategies in terms of probability of winning, gambler's ruin and probability distribution of profit. This game follows Kolmogor axiomatic probability model, therefore the calculations were counted by the basic formulas and axioms. In the calculations of the gambler's ruin differential equations were also used and built with random walk. In the longest expected run of red (black) were used sto- chastic processes and extreme value theory. In addition to interesting calculations, the conclusion also contains finding that there is no winning strategy in roulette. Even though one-time probabilities of winning are high, the finding indicates nega- tive mean value of profit. Keywords: Roulette, Kolmogorov axiomatic probability space

Do bettors prefer skewness over risk?
Kvapil, Mikuláš ; Svoboda, Miroslav (advisor) ; Potužák, Pavel (referee)
Bachelor thesis wants to prove the hypothesis that gambling can be explained not only by risk preferences but also by preferences skewness. The work used an empirical method of data collection and subsequently tested them. Data were collected from five hundred rounds of roulette in an online casino with a focus on Czech players. During the test of the econometric model the hypothesis that bettors are risk averse with skewness preferences was confirmed.

Rožek, Jan ; Štědroň, Bohumír (advisor) ; Stříteský, Václav (referee)
This thesis is studying the current global as well as Czech gambling industry with the focus on internet gambling activities. The work begins with the description of various gambling activities. The focus is taken on the internet gambling activities with description of the specifics and the current European as well as US legal frame.
